Ever felt you view things differently

Instead of following da status quo

I know the feelin

Since I feel like this too often

U go on social media

N see what every1 is doin

Wondering why this ain’t me

I am thinkin intergalatic

Instead of thinkin like a local

Wat u see

May not be da truth

Only a reflection of ur own perception

Since we define reality

Like a good dose of delirium

U know the prose

Since it rhymes with der woes

Their woes ain’t da same

As yours or mine

Our brains just wired differently to another man’s chimes

N da tone

Ya know can alternate

Depending on da different day of da week

But this ain’t how da brain work

Da brain is a muscle dat gotta be exercised

every once in a while

For me though

I think I had an aneurysm

In ma sleep

Which caused me to start

bustin out dat rap

Is der a cure?

Yeh gotta release an album

In order to cure myself

Of this rapness

Time To Start Being Bold

IMG_0702

You are out one night with a group of friends and you see someone who you like. They start to approach your direction, but you scuttle the other way, since you do not know what to say. The next day, you ponder over the fact why you struggled to pluck up the confidence to say hello. In this case, fear was a major factor and you pre-conditioned your thoughts to assume you were not good enough. Yesterday, I saw someone who I liked, but I didn’t go for it. Later on I thought, ‘come on Caroline, be bold!’ In life, we have nothing to lose and all to gain. If you do not receive the response you were hoping for, take away the lesson instead.

This scenario is a classic example and a lesson for many. We tend to defeat ourselves before we have even begun. In doing so, we actually prevent any life progressions. When we do not adopt bold behavior, we miss out on living life to the full, since we focus too much on the areas which hold us back. The scary fact is that the clock does not slow down for us, but we need to move with it. We all have got used to a certain way of living, which causes us to remain in our comfort zone. Life is too short to stay within the good old comfort zone. There are times when we should put ourselves on the edge.

Sending an email to yourself to let go

Ever thought of sending an email to your hesitant self and expressing your true thoughts? Instead of going after what we really want, we listen to Sir or Lady Hesitant who conflicts us further. We then remain one step back and one step forward. But one of the keys towards being bold is shutting out this feeling. Approach situations head on. If you see an opportunity which would be a great match, just go for it! Want to make peace with a certain someone? Then follow through.

Move the comfort zone from under you

This is the perfect time to try something new, which you can do for yourself. Pull open the curtain and dive in. Yes, this makes us vulnerable or afraid, but what better time to learn how to manage these feelings. When we are learning how to be bold, it is also an opportunity to get to know oneself better. By discovering how to be bold, we want to explore what is holding us back. If cracks appear, do not freak out as this is normal. Accepting your faults will help you move forward. I am in the process of doing this and it’s very beneficial.

Learn from the best

When developing the ability to become bold, finding an inspirational source can help you better understand yourself and this can be moulded into your daily life. The moment you start acting bold, your circumstances will change.

Why you just gotta say NO

Bold people are not afraid to say NO. If something does not feel right, you do not have to hang in there. By saying No, you are setting a boundary for yourself and others. The more you stick by this will reinforce who you are as a person.

Stick with what you want

Do not back down. Continue on the road you have chosen. Stand by your goals and follow through. Boldness makes sure, you do the things, you decide to do. Don’t let fear interfere with this.

Be a risk taker for once

At some point in our life, we should do something out of the ordinary. By taking a risk, we rattle ourselves and live on the edge. This helps us identify what our limits are and aspects about ourselves which we did not know before.

Asking for help is not a weakness

We all have tended to back away from asking for help, since we do not want to be judged. However, seeking help is not a bad thing. It’s a sign of strength. When we are comfortable with ourselves, then we become less afraid to show our real selves.

Speak your mind

Bold people are not afraid to speak their mind. Stand your ground and speak up. This can be a very gratifying experience. At the end of day, it’s your opinion which matters the most to you.

Walk with resilience

The challenges which come our way, require us to wear a mental armor. Do not let any little incident knock you down. Remember to stand tall and think of who you are. We have to conquer our battles and continue on.

Be prepared, but conquer your life with eyes open. Any incident you face will have a lesson behind it, which you can reflect upon.

Know your energy

IMG_0575

Ever wondered why things are not going the way you would like them to? I know this feeling since I only started addressing this rather recently. I always wondered why things in my life went pear-shaped. When you wake up in the morning, you make a choice about which feeling you wish to adopt for the day. This feeling dictates your mood for the day, but you can change this.

We can go through our lives not realising the impact our energy has on others. If you show feel-good vibes around other people, then this will bring them closer to you. But how can this be achieved?

Raising your level of awareness and consciousness would be a good start. Since the sooner you start understanding these two aspects, you will be able to relate to why certain things keep happening in your life.

You can change your perception of life, as only you can generate this vision and no one else. Why do we get so caught up in a certain vision? This is due to the fact that we expect life to be a certain way. But the reality is far from this this.

There are incidents in life, which we have no control over. The best thing you can do is accept and forgive. We cannot spend our days seeking answers if they are never going to come. We have all been a victim of this before.

My advice is that when you see the signs, do not get worried just aim to process and move on accordingly. Once we become more aware of different energy levels then this will be an indication for us.

Why do we not pay attention to energy levels?

We have a tendency in our lives to not address what is going on inside ourselves. This ultimately makes us unaware of what we are going through. Our behaviours are aligned with our emotions. Fear and judgement can prevent us from identifying our own faults. In the end, we blame others for our own mistakes. It is important that we do not get so caught up in the thoughts that others may have of us. All people perceive in the way they would like but should this bother us? No, not really.

Other peoples’ thoughts of us are only a reflection of their own. However, the more you tune into yourself, the easier it will become to block out these thoughts.

Below are 7 ways which can help you to raise your energy level:

Meditation

This is one of the best ways to tune into yourself. I never used to meditate until very recently. After having been advised to take it up, it really does work. The reason why I never got involved in meditation was because I was unable to see the benefits. There are times in life where you have to give things a go. Regarding meditation, you only have to dedicate at least 10 minutes a day. I highly recommend meditating in the morning.

Listening to a feel good song

After I meditate, I put on a song which makes me happy. This then brings up the energy level even higher. Also, try to loosen up when you are listening to the song as this generates all the feel-good vibes.

Sharing humour

This can also raise the energy level. Cracking a few jokes can put us in a great mood too.

Declutter your life

Living lighter can you help you to understand your thoughts better. If we live in a mess, then we are less likely to view our thoughts from a point of clarity. This is like closing one chapter and making room for the next one.

Practice forgiveness

We all have a tendency to hang on to past events, which drag us down instead of lifting us up.

Take responsibility for your actions

For a long time, I avoided not taking control of my life, which led to me making a number of reckless decisions. I realised that I was approaching these situations from a level of low energy. Note that you cannot avoid not taking control of your life. The moment you take responsibility, your energy levels will increase.

Becoming mindful of your thoughts

Identifying the positive from the negative will help you to make the most out of your days. I know it’s easier said than done but it will help you to focus better. Focusing on the positive is a great way to filter out the thoughts which bring your energy levels down.

All of these tips above can act as guidance to help you achieve the maximum energy vibrations. We all want energy bliss in our lives. Being more mindful will enable us to get there.

Why it’s better to be in control of your emotions

IMG_0567

At some point in our life we have been reckless with our emotions, often throwing caution to the wind. We are also less likely to address our feelings and actions, meaning we make the same mistakes again and again. Eventually, this can cause us to have a breakdown and be in a period of stasis since in such a situation we don’t know how to proceed further. I have had my share of misfortune and pain as a consequence of not always being mindful of my emotions. The interesting fact is, we become less immature once we understand why we behave in certain ways.

If we do not understand our emotions then they can get the better of us. Accept that it is ok to feel sad, but realise that you will come out of it as it is only an emotion and you have the choice to change this thought.

We also have a higher chance of getting too attached to others when we fail to accept ourselves. This causes us to seek acceptance in others. Also, a lack of confidence causes us to react strongly to the most trivial things.

It is important to address our mistakes so we can change and evolve. At the end of the day, we would like to build deep and meaningful relationships with people, but with a higher level of awareness, we will be able to better maintain them.

Focus on the following areas to help you understand your emotions better;

Stop running away or escaping from your thoughts

You will need to address them to prevent them from growing into a mountain from a molehill. If we learn how to manage them then we can avoid overreacting and mismanaging.

Identify the reasons behind your emotions. For example, what causes you to feel sad?

Find the trigger, which causes you to feel this type of emotion. Unresolved past events can prove to be reasons for us to respond in certain ways. I know for myself, I had not forgiven what had happened. So I would be easily triggered and end up in an emotional mess. The fact is that you cannot change what has happened but you can accept it.

In life, accept that events may not go the way you had hoped. This does not mean that you have failed. So please do not misunderstand.

Write down your emotions

It can be quite amazing how writing down your emotions can benefit oneself. Some of us are better at expressing our emotions by writing them down than verbally. Truth be told, this is me. When I express myself by writing down my emotions, I feel like I am releasing any built up tension. It is not wise to bottle up feelings and emotions. I highly recommend trying this and then reading them back to yourself to process all internal pain and trauma.

Take a step back and review

Instead of diving head first into a situation, try listening to the other person’s thoughts. Put yourself in their shoes. This can help you respond accordingly.

Surrounding yourself with positivity

People with negative energies can rub off onto you. In order to help you move forward, be around people with a positive attitude. This will be a good start to encourage you to begin thinking in a more uplifting way. Taking up an activity which you will derive pleasure and satisfaction from will help you to generate positivity.

These are some of the ways, which you can adopt to help you on your way to better controlling your emotions. The sooner you start, your life will become more enjoyable and grounded.

We Only Have One Life So Dream Big

IMG_0561

We all go through life thinking a certain way; a way, which has been conditioned by our surroundings. The education we receive at home and at school makes up a great part of this. This can be referred to as social conditioning. For many of us, we generate dreams from an early age, but are led down a specific trajectory. This results in us forgetting the dreams we once had.

Once we go to school, we are drilled with this mentality to study a certain course, get this job and the list goes on…

Social conditioning has its negatives, since we are put under undue pressure and stress. We all have a creative outlet, but this is schooled out of us rather early on in life. This causes us to only think within the proverbial box as opposed to outside of it. This prevents us from generating big ideas and unleashing the creativity inside us.

The limiting box method of thinking is not very beneficial. At school we should be engaged to further our way of thinking beyond this limitation. We all have the capacity to be challenged and grow within all aspects of our life. This is why I highly recommend dreaming big.

What stops us from creating and thinking differently?

We worry too much about what others may think and become subject to cynicism. Thinking outside of the square should be valued not disregarded, since being different is the new cool! If you have the courage and feel inspired, go for it!

Below, I have put together some helpful tips to gather up the confidence to start you off on your journey towards generating big ideas:

Getting out of your comfort zone

This is a classic example for us all since we like to remain in the position where we feel most at home. But thinking intergalactic will not work if you cannot throw yourself outside of certain parameters. The fact still remains that, the moment we are exposed makes us fend for ourselves. This is a perfect opportunity to work on our weaknesses and improve aspects of our lives.

Finding your passion

If we listen to our hearts then we are most likely going to work harder as it will ignite the necessary fire for us to jump in. But as human beings we have the tendency to listen more to our ego then to our hearts. Our egos are not often right, which can cause devastating consequences.

Learning how to control emotions

Regardless of how big the dream may be, it is crucial to learn how to control our emotions. If we manage our emotions in the right ways when we face obstacles, then we will know how to respond in the appropriate way. I have realised that when my emotions got in the way, they prevented me from generating big ideas and formulating them.

Dreaming big helps us understand reality better

The moment you think of an idea which is extraordinary, you will think of how you can implement it. Immediately, you will start identifying the challenges and begin to look introspectively. We think of ways we can better ourselves to make ideas work so we eventually grow with the process. From the moment, I started generating big ideas. I looked inside myself more than ever before.

Becoming more persistent and determined

When we find an idea, which we believe has a lot of potential, then nothing can hold us back. All we can think about is how to make it work and turn into something successful. The present moment is very important to us and we will not waste time.

I was a procrastinator in the past, but I have now come out of this and I am finally focusing on what matters to me most. We should all chase after our dreams as only we can achieve them.

Tune into your intuition

Believe it or not, but your intuition can be your guide, especially in this situation. The more we tune in, the better we can make life decisions.

Timing is the best friend you could ever have

IMG_0538

This subject has been on my mind for a while now. We all wonder, what does timing actually mean to us? Timing can be defined differently by so many.

I reflected quite recently and thought, why are we making decisions at certain times?

Timing is something quite wonderful. After a long period of searching comes this warm and glowing sun, which paves a pathway in the ocean for us to walk down. For many of us, we expect to be at our destination a lot quicker than anticipated. In life we cannot rush, we just have to go with the tide.

When does timing really make sense?

Making peace with the past

Still to this day, I am working on making peace with my past, since you cannot do much to change what has happened previously. We all tend to hold some resentment towards what may have scarred us up until now. There is a reason why the past is called the past and not the present. We learn from this and move forward with the aim to make the present and future better for us.

Becoming a better person

This is your opportunity to work on making yourself better and becoming the person you want to be. Some of us want this to happen straight away but you cannot force this. You will see yourself evolve.

Healing opportunity

We all have wounds which are quite raw and we constantly rub salt into them. Now is your time to reflect and close the chapters associated with these wounds.

Turning negative thinking into positive thinking

The moment you rewire your way of thinking, life will start looking brighter. You will leave a place of darkness and regain control of your life. Nothing lasts forever unless you let it. I am very familiar with this feeling as I am currently coming out of an energy zap.

Reconnecting with others

There may come times in your life where we may feel disconnected from others. This is a natural part of life. It is important to give these situations space and time to let people reconnect and align. Note that later on in your life, you may realise that this was of the best things you ever could have done.

The moment everything falls into place

You will look back and realise that you had to go through lots of ups and downs in order to get to where you are now. This experience not only made you stronger, but more the wiser. As I mentioned before, after lots of trial and error comes a golden period. The moment this period arrives, your life will proceed like lightning. This energy will be electrifying. You will find that everything you have ever worked hard towards will pay off.

Moments of confusion are short lived and will not last. The most important thing is to keep going and push through the pain. It is so easy to drop off, but know that in the long run, the heavens opening is only round the corner. Your bliss is coming and be ready for it!
